Do I need to install anything?
No. Monifyx runs in your browser on a phone or a computer. On Android, the app can also read your M-Pesa and bank messages for you.
How do I get an account?
Press Get started, choose a username, and let Monifyx generate a password for you. You get 10 days free to try it, then pay by M-Pesa (daily, weekly, monthly or yearly) to keep everything.
How much does it cost, and how do I pay?
It costs KES 229 a month. You can pay with an M-Pesa prompt on your phone (enter your PIN there), or pay by hand and type the code from the M-Pesa SMS. It does not renew by itself.
Is my data private?
Yes. Each user has their own private data and photos that other users cannot see. You can export your data and download a full backup at any time.
What can Monifyx read?
M-Pesa messages and statements, money messages from banks, SACCOs, money market funds and loan providers (one-time codes and personal messages are never read), and receipts: supermarket slips, restaurant and bar bills, even handwritten ones.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes, in the browser. iPhones do not let apps read SMS, so there you upload an M-Pesa statement or paste your messages; everything else works the same.
Is there a limit on photo reading?
Reading uses a shared AI service, so each user has a daily allowance. You can always type a receipt in by hand or add a purchase without a receipt.
Can I record a payment with no receipt?
Yes. Add the items one by one and how each was paid, with the M-Pesa transaction ID if you have it. It counts as spending like any receipt.
